Adriana Del Duca at the Palm Beach Fine Craft Show 2025: A Journey Through Plexiglass, Pressed Cardboard and Gold Leaf

From February 14 to 16, 2025, I will have the pleasure of participating in the prestigious Palm Beach Fine Craft Show in Florida, an event dedicated to showcasing the finest in high-quality artisan craftsmanship. This will be a special opportunity to present my handmade jewelry collections, the result of continuous exploration with innovative materials and artisanal techniques.

Transparencia: The Light of Plexiglass

At the show, I will present my collection Transparencia, launched in 2018 and constantly evolving with new and unique designs.

These necklaces are made from plexiglass, precisely laser-cut into original shapes. Each piece is then hand-satin finished along the edges to create a soft, refined effect, and finally polished with specialized machines to enhance its transparency and shine.

Some designs are enriched with the addition of metals, creating a perfect balance between modernity and traditional craftsmanship.

Kinetic Paper: The lightness of Pressed Cardboard

Alongside Transparencia, I will present the Kinetic Paper collection, crafted from pressed cardboard. The small tiles that make up these pieces are laser-cut, then meticulously hand-finished and assembled without the use of adhesives. The result? Very light Jewels with dynamic, geometric designs inspired by optical art and the exploration of shapes and volumes.

This collection has been featured in international events and has received awards for its originality and the quality of its artisanal craftsmanship.

This year I introduced some novelties such as fluorescent colors, the wavy texture of the cardboard and the double face to underline the three-dimensionality and optical games.

Gold Frames: The Revival of Gold Leaf

Another exciting collection I’ll be showcasing in Palm Beach is Gold Frames, a project that blends sustainability with luxury. These stunning necklaces are created from repurposed damaged frames covered in gold leaf. I carefully slice the frames into thin segments, drill precise holes in each piece, and hand-assemble them to create dazzling golden compositions.

The final result? Striking golden necklaces that tell a story of transformation and creativity, breathing new life into precious materials in an innovative and elegant way.
