MY CREATIVE JOURNEY IN JEWELRY: THREE UNIQUE AND DISTINCTIVE APPROACHES THAT DEFINE MY WORK, by Adriana Del Duca.

I am Adriana Del Duca, a designer and artisan with about 20 years of experience in the world of jewelry. My creative journey began a long time ago with experimental theater, which opened the doors to the universe of creativity and allowed me to explore different art forms including jewelry.

I am passionate about my work and believe that every jewel should tell a story. With my experience and creativity, I am committed to offering my clients pieces that are not only beautiful, but also meaningful.

In my jewelry business, I have developed three distinct approaches.

GENOS GIOIELLI - THE FUSION OF ART AND AESTHETIC CONSENSUS - the first approach

From Inner Inspiration to Artisan Realization: The Creative Process behind Genos

My first approach to jewelry, embodied in the Genos line, is a fusion between personal artistic expression and the search for aesthetic consensus within a niche of refined women. Each jewel is born from a creative process that begins with internal inspiration, aroused by external stimuli, and takes shape through hand-drawn sketches.

These sketches capture the essence of what I want to express and represent the starting point for modeling, which occurs both manually, using wax, and through the use of 3D modeling software.

Creating for a Refined Niche: The Exclusive Taste that Guides My Vision

When creating Genos jewelry, I always keep a specific audience in mind: a niche of cultured ladies with an exclusive taste, who seek unique and distinctive pieces, far from mass trends.

These women choose and wear my jewelry not only for its beauty but also for the meaning and refinement it embodies. My intention is to create items that resonate with their sophisticated aesthetic sense, offering them the chance to wear and gift something truly special.

The Importance of Artisan Control: Why Every Genos Jewelry Piece is a Unique Work of Art

For me, personally working on each piece at the bench is essential. I firmly believe that no one can better interpret the vision I have in mind.

I know every phase of the jewelry construction process in-depth, from designing to metal casting to final finishing, which allows me to ensure that each piece meets the highest standards of quality and design. This approach has enabled me not only to create unique pieces but also to design entire collections for companies while always paying particular attention to customer requirements, quality, and product exclusivity.

Innovative and Fashion Jewelry: The Experimental Approach for an Exclusive Niche – my second approach

My second approach to jewelry is a fascinating blend of artistic experimentation and aesthetic sensitivity, where each piece is designed for a niche audience that appreciates innovative design and the elegance of fashion, even when made with non-noble materials. This approach not only explores artistic concepts inspired by optical art and architecture but also considers the jewelry's ability to seduce through a refined and distinctive aesthetic that reflects my desire to challenge traditional design boundaries. The collections that best represent this vision are Transparencia and Kinetic Paper.

Transparencia: The Art of Plexiglas between Innovation and Aesthetic Seduction

This line is characterized by the use of clear or colored plexiglass, often paired with metals such as steel, copper, bronze, silver, and brass. In addition to experimenting with light and transparency to create optical and architectural effects, every jewelry piece is a unique item designed with a keen eye on fashion. The goal is to create pieces that not only captivate with their innovative design but can also be worn stylishly, enhancing the beauty of those who choose them. It is an aesthetic that seduces and captures attention, making these jewels desirable objects for a cultured and refined audience.

Kinetic Paper: The Charm of Black and White in Minimalist Design

Primarily made from pressed cardboard, this line explores black and white to represent emptiness and fullness, sometimes introducing color to add a touch of vitality. Although the materials may seem simple, the design is anything but ordinary. Each piece is conceived to attract an audience that appreciates innovation and quality, regardless of the intrinsic value of the materials.

The minimalist aesthetic, combined with a profound concept, makes Kinetic Paper a collection that not only tells a story but can also elevate any look with its originality and distinctive character.

This approach targets an even more exclusive audience, a group of people who not only understand the artistic value of jewelry but are also fascinated by its ability to combine innovation, fashion, and profound concepts, even when made with alternative materials. Here, jewelry is not just an ornament but a statement of style and an expression of a unique personality.

THE PURE EXPRESSION OF CREATIVITY THROUGH CONCEPTUAL JEWELRY – my third approach

My third approach to jewelry is a deep exploration of creativity, where each piece arises from conceptual and material research that transcends any market concerns or aesthetic conformity. For me, this approach represents the purest essence of my artistic practice, an inner journey where all my life experiences, filled with frustrations and joys, are translated into creations that are authentic and uncontaminated expressions of my being.

Beyond Reason: Jewelry as a Manifestation of Life and Emotions

In this context, jewelry becomes an act of renouncing reason, a conscious abandonment of logic to embrace what is enigmatic and incomprehensible. Each piece is an abstract reflection of real concepts, manifesting through geometric and symbolic forms. There is no trace of direct representation, but rather an interaction between matter and idea that challenges conventions.

Geometric Abstraction and Real Concepts: Brooches that Tell Stories

Examples of this creative exploration are the brooches We are not alone, Following the red dot, and Before it's too late. In these works, geometry becomes the language through which I express complex emotions and thoughts, creating a dialogue between the work and the observer. These pieces of jewelry are not merely wearable objects but fragments of a broader discourse that unfolds between the visible and the invisible, between the comprehensible and the incomprehensible.

Art as Inner Reflection: Jewels that Escape Market Conformities

In this approach, I do not seek to satisfy an aesthetic canon or respond to market demands. My creativity is freed from external expectations, allowing me to experiment and express what would otherwise remain unspoken. Each piece is unique, not only in its form and structure but also in the inner process that generated it.
This approach represents the culmination of a life dedicated to art and jewelry, a space where I can explore without limits, and where each creation becomes an autonomous work of art capable of telling deep and intimate stories.
